J. Haskins Law Pricing
No matter what, your first call to me is free.
Our First Call
During this call, I will learn more about your business, and chart a path that is optimal for you. During the free call, I cannot provide legal advice-I need an engagement letter and payment first to make my insurance carrier happy. But the good news is that there will be a variety of offerings to suit any budget.
Pay as You Grow
This subscription service features predictability. You pay the same amount every month–no matter how many surprise legal issues pop up. No matter what, I handle the legal issues that you do not have the time or energy to deal with. Under this plan, you can get legal advice on anything ranging from business formation issues, risk management, and contracts. You only pay more as you grow, and you bring in revenue. If you are dealing with a discrete issue that has a definite end, flat fee pricing is available. The flat fees posted below are not final, and should not be construed as an offer of services. Flat fees are only final upon execution of an engagement agreement and payment of the flat fee. The flat fees posted below are for illustrative purposes only. They represent what the typical person or organization should expect to pay under typical circumstances, and may be greater depending on the complexity of the situation. The fees posted below may be changed at any time.
Demand Letter Plus: $1,000 to $2,500, depending on research required.
The $1,000 to $2,500 fee includes an honest assessment of your legal position in anticipation of litigation. Through phone consultations and written follow up, we will develop a strategy on optimizing your ability to recover from a dispute–whether this involves a lawsuit or can be resolved without one. If it is necessary to make a demand to the opposing party, I will prepare and issue the demand letter, and make every effort to resolve the dispute without the need for costly litigation.
Business Formation Package: $1,100
For $1,100, I will advise you on what type of business entity (like corporation, limited liability company, partnership, not-for-profit) best serves your business and financial goals. We will discuss your vision, and what you want the structure of your organization to look like. Based on this discussion, I will prepare your governing documents– articles of incorporation, articles of organization, and bylaws.
Community Supported Agriculture Agreement: $100
$100 covers the preparation of a CSA Agreement. As I blogged about here, CSA Agreements are critical to educating the community on what to expect from community supported agriculture, and what is expected of the community. The CSA agreement will specifically deal with the distinctive risks you want the community to share, such as crop failure.
Challenge to land tax classification before Value Adjustment Board: $700
Foreclosure and Bankruptcy Litigation – $1,500 to $15,000, depending on type of proceeding and complexity.

Sometimes the only way out of a disagreement is to ask a court to wade in. The actual work involved depends partly on the complexity of the case, and several other unpredictable factors. But with a flat fee, you do not have to deal with this unpredictability.
This is just a sample of the kind of services I offer on a flat fee. Because so many legal projects are unique, I can’t provide a comprehensive menu of flat fees. But whatever your issue is, please give me a call to see what a flat fee would look like in your particular matter.
